A Note From the Clients: We'd been coming to the SJIs for years & dreamed of someday building our forever home there. After searching for five long years on three different islands, we finally found a lot that ticked most of our boxes: west-side/water-view, madrona-wooded & barely-glimpsed neighbors.
We camped up there with friends on successive summers for another six years, dreaming of the day we’d get to toast the sunset from a couch rather than a camp-chair. Our search for a design-build company to realize our vision was fortunately much more brief!
Jonathan seemed to intuitively 'get' us from the start; having seen some of his previous projects we knew he shared our design aesthetic, so the actual design process came together fairly quickly. We found him responsive, resourceful & very easy to work with. He is extremely good at coming up with innovative solutions to any problems arising during the iterative process. And somehow still making them look cool! Similarly, Ravenhill was very much 'on the same page' as us, during the build. We were impressed both by the grandeur & attention to detail evident in all their building work.
Despite the myriad challenges imposed by a global pandemic, they were able retain an unwavering & much-appreciated air of professionalism & good humor throughout that facilitated our prolonged construction journey. Now our forever home is finally completed & we are able to enjoy those sunsets in comfort!
