A native Northwesterner, She loves the rainy, windy, gray days when it's hard to tell the difference between the water and the sky. A graduate of The Evergreen State College, with a teaching degree from Western Washington University, Shelle spends her real time writing, quilting, gardening and learning to play the violin.
Shelle and her husband Ellis, an Alaskan fisherman and longtime member of the Ravenhill team, have two beautiful grown children and recently welcomed their second grandchild to the family.

Ravenhill's founder Peter Kilpatrick always knew he wanted to build. Growing up he was famous for his use of challenging materials in an endless series of forts, a steel framed dome and later his recycled wood cabin. A growing family and the need to express his developing architectural vision found Pete building his 'big' house when a fire destroyed his cabin.
A few years later, Ravenhill Construction was founded. Pete and his wife Becky have made significant contributions to the island community. Pete is a member of the Board for The Community Home Trust and The San Juan Initiative, which looks for solutions to clean up Puget Sound.
Pete is continuing on alongside the new owners of Ravenhill on an as-needed basis in an advisory consultant role. Look for Pete at Brickworks where he is leading the build out of our community's historic venue in the heart of Friday Harbor.

Fusing her passions for glasswork and lavender, inspired by the local organic farm where she has been employed for the past two decades developing value-added products from lavender flowers and essential oil, she is the sole artisan behind Lavender Beads, a lampwork glass bead jewelry line.
Mother of two daughters and married to Credence for nearly twenty years, she aims to support the company's growth and success however she is able.
